183 Bikes,68 Lorries/Truck dan 33 Quad Bikes/ATV,
Peserta datang dari 51 Negara.

The Driver: KASIH HANGGORO
“First Indonesian to finish the Dakar”When reached on the phone to talk about his 2011 Dakar project, Kasih Hanggoro was about to board a plane with his co-driver IriatnaSatria headed to Spain to go and meet Lucas Cruz, co-driver of Carlos Sainz. Proof that the Indonesian wants to have all cards in hand to finish the race and is ready to travel across the world to get precious navigation tips from the title-holder himself. Kasih's first experience on the Dakar is one he'll probably want to forget. Indeed the 41-year-old started the race in a single-seater McRae buggy and his adventure ended as soon as day 3. He's therefore decided to give it another go but this time in a solid Mitsubishi Pajero with a co-driver at his side.
K. H.: “I enjoyed my first experience but I'm not made for a single-seater. I need a navigator at my side. Last year I had to quit during day 3 in the ‘not friendly' stage to Fiambala. I'm just looking for self-satisfaction on the Dakar. I also want to make the Dakar big in Indonesia. I'm only the second Indonesian to compete on the Dakar and I want to become the first one to finish it. In my country, only motorsports fans know about the Dakar, I want to build a bridge for the Indonesian people. I don't want to be a winner, I just want to finish”.
